Mark March 14th, 2021 in your calendars! Harry Styles just won his first Grammy!!!

March 14th, 2021 was a memorable day for Harry Styles and his fans. Not only did he open up the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards with "Watermelon Sugar," but he was also nominated for three awards. The first one was for Pop Solo Performance for "Watermelon Sugar." The second nomination was for Music Video for "Adore You." And the third nomination was for Pop Vocal Album for "Fine Line." Out of all three, Harry took home the Grammy for his first nomination, Pop Solo Performance. Below is his acceptance speech:
To everyone who made this record with me, thank you so much. This was the first song we wrote after my first album came out during a day off in Nashville, and I just want to say thanks to Tom, Tyler, and Mitch and everyone, Rob Stringer and everyone at Columbia, my manager Jeffrey who has always nudged me to be better and never pushed me. And thank you so much and I feel great, very grateful to be here. Thank you. All these songs are massive so thank you so much. I feel very honored to be among all of you so thank you so much. Thank you. -Harry Styles
After this speech, Harry Styles headed backstage at the Grammys and said, "I just wanted to say thank you to the Grammys and everyone who voted and I feel incredibly lucky to get to work in music and make music as my job every day, and this is an incredibly sweet icing on the cake of what I get to do every day. Thank you so much. And I want to thank my fans for giving me an environment to be free to make the music that I want to make, and supporting me along the way over the last ten years, and everyone who made this record with me and my label and my mangers and everyone who supports me and everything, all of it, thank you so much. I feel very, very lucky tonight. Thank you."
As for his rendition of "Watermelon Sugar," Harry modified the music to the song from the original version into a more soulful composition to fit the Grammys. During his performance, fans couldn't help but notice how happy and carefree Harry looked. He danced across stage without worrying about anyone else's judgement. He is so admirable and show-stopping. You can't help but stare longingly at him when he's having the time of his life on stage.
To top off the night, Harry looked amazing as always. For his performance, Harry wore a black leather Gucci suit, accessorized with a green feather boa. In the middle of his act, Harry threw off the boa, showcasing his iconic tattoos underneath the leather blazer. His next outfit change was when he accepted his award wearing brown flare pants, a V-neck striped knit sweater underneath a bright yellow plaid jacket, paired with white boots and a lavender feather boa. This look was also Gucci. In addition, his last look of the night featured an orange blazer with another black boa. It's admirable and refreshing to see him unafraid to wear fun and unique outfits. He also doesn't allow stereotypes to define him. Harry Styles is a fearless star.
